You should not need to download additional software for the use of this device, but if your package had a missing or damaged disk, the software links above contain the same files as the disks included in the packages.

Instructions:

1. Insert the Bluetooth Dongle into the USB Port of your computer.

2. Wait a moment for your computer to detect the hardware and download the necessary drivers. Once complete, you should see an icon in the right hand side of your taskbar with the bluetooth icon.

3. At this point, your Bluetooth Dongle is ready to use. Make sure that the device you wish to pair using your Bluetooth Dongle is set to discoverable status, which essentially means that you have turned on Bluetooth for that device.

4. Double-click on the icon.

5. Once your device is ready, click the "Add..." button.

6. On the next screen, check the box that says "My device is set up..." and then click "Next":

7. It will take a few moments to search for the device. Once found, highlight and click "Next".

8. You will then be shown a list of options for a passkey. You may choose any of these. The passkey is not a specific set of numbers already determined by either of your devices unless explicitly stated. After clicking on one of the options and hitting next, you will be prompted to enter the number code into your other device.

9. Once you enter the number properly, Bluetooth will finish installing your device. Click "Finish" and your computer and your connected device are now paired and you can send and receive files between the two.
Sending Files

1. If you want to send a file from your computer to your device, right-click on the Bluetooth icon. You will need to highlight the device that you are sending a file to. The use of a passkey for this process is optional.

2. Click "Browse" to find the file you wish to send.

3. You will receive a notification on your device letting you know that a file wants to be sent to it. Accept the file.

Troubleshooting

Q.  Why isn't Bluetooth finding my device?

A.  Make sure that your device is on and put into "Discovery Mode," which allows it to be seen by other devices.

Q.  Why do I get an error message when I try to send a file?

A.  The file you are sending may be too big to be held by your device. Check with the instruction manual for the device or your service provider, where applicable, to find out the size capacity and limitations for data.
